Hae Lim Ji, DDS
Dr. Ji is a caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable dentist, who is ready to help her patients to achieve better dental care at Smile Designer in Arlington VA. She will welcome you with a happy vibe and will ask how she can help you.
She is a native of South Korea and immigrated to Northern VA with her family after she finished high school. As a studious hard-working student, she obtained a BS in Chemistry with high distinction at the University of Virginia. After undergraduate studies, she decided to study more Chemistry since she loved the problem solving and analytical approach of Chemistry. However, during her master’s program, she realized that she wanted to help people in more direct ways and so chose dentistry.
Dr. Ji graduated in the top 6 percent of her class from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) in New York, NY. She was clinically trained in CAD-CAM, Invisalign, Nitrous oxide, pediatric, special needs, and geriatric dentistry. As a dedicated dental student, she had the honor of induction to the prestigious dental society Omega Kappa Upsilon (OKU).
While studying at NYUCD, she founded and served as the president of the first student chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is the second largest dental organization in the US after the American Dental Association. With her leadership, the student chapter hosted many events which drew more than 500 participants during the first year. She served as the chair of new dentist committee in New York State – the AGD, and had the honor to attend AGD House of delegates which is a national governing body of the AGD.
After NYUCD, she continued her advanced training in General Practice Residency at New York Langone Brooklyn (also known as Lutheran hospital). During her residency, she was further trained in more advanced cases of pediatric, Invisalign, nitrous oxide, special needs patients care, in patient dental care, orofacial trauma, and cosmetic dentistry.
Recently she has relocated back to the DMV area to be closer to her family. When she is not thinking about her patients, she is looking for a next place to travel and a next restaurant to try. Ask her about restaurants in NYC and she will gladly give you some recommendations.
