While whitening options are great for most cases of discolored teeth, they may not work on dark teeth, particularly those stained by tetracycline, i.e., an infection.
Whiten dark teeth using one of two options.
- Kor Deep Whitening or porcelain veneers. Kor Deep Whitening works best on teeth that have gray or reddish shades. This system consists of 2 in-office visits where hydrogen peroxide is applies within the teeth, followed by take-home whitening trays.
- Porcelain veneers, on the other hand, work best for teeth with dark internal stains because there are no limits to color alteration with this system.
Your highly-trained dentist will decide which system is best suited for your specific situation.
